Mariam Gordeladze

#KnowYourColleague – with this series of articles we highlight our colleagues’ hobbies and their stories. We aim to create a safe space where everyone is welcome to bond and share their adventures as we grow as a community.

Our colleague, Mariam Gordeladze who is a recruiter in DRS, won a Hungarian government scholarship with Stipendium Hungaricum in 2018 and spent two years in Budapest studying at the Corvinus University.

During that time, she became close friends with many people who made the experience more enjoyable every single day, creating memories of new experiences, tears and laughter, parties and exams and lots of group activities. From this invaluable experience, Mariam learned a great deal, how to be more patient, tolerant and handle stressful situations in a calm manner.

Budapest itself was a fantastic place with beautiful architecture, quiet people and a well-organized transport system offering full opportunities for all sorts of adventures. She tried many things for the first time in Budapest such as figure skating and voting at the polling station located at the Georgian Embassy.

She returned from Hungary with a MSc degree in Public Policy and Management and will be forever grateful for the unforgettable experience.
