DevelopmentAid has started 2021 by doing good deeds! After the holidays have passed, we have partnered up with The Moldova Project once again – as you can remember, we have worked with them to supply game rooms for children from vulnerable families in their regions with toys and educational support in October 2019. This time, we have worked together to collect necessities like food and household items, to be donated to socially vulnerable families from rural areas in 2 stages (January-February, and then February-March). The Moldova Project currently supports around 100 families, and we think it’s a great opportunity for us to honour our corporate social responsibility.
This charity was conducted in our office, as 2 boxes were kindly provided by our partners to facilitate the donation process. The one at HR was for food items, while the one next to the elevator was for collecting non-food items. Along with item donations, our company has contributed financially, along with our employees who had the opportunity to donate financial means, that were transmitted to The Moldova Project and used to purchase necessities. It’s safe to say that our employees are true socially responsible citizens, aiming to contribute to those less fortunate.
As a result of the two charity stages in February and March, we have gathered 17,277 leis along with numerous food and household items that went to vulnerable families. The items and purchased goods were delivered by The Moldova Project directly, so that each item goes straight to those who need it. We were immensely happy to see the gratitude and positive emotions!
Overall, we’re extremely glad that we could positively impact the quality of vulnerable families’ lives. Our collaboration with The Moldova Project is very important to us, as we give back to society and take care of the ones in need. As a company, we are continuously trying to have a positive impact on certain aspects of our society, including economic, social, and environmental ones. Even if we work globally, we primarily care about local economy and local society. We have finalised this charity, but we’re already planning the next one.
