#KnowYourColleague – with this series of articles we highlight our colleagues’ hobbies and their stories. We aim to create a safe space where everyone is welcome to bond and share their adventures as we grow as a community.
Our colleague, Constantin Negura is a Data Analyst in the Data Management Department who, in his free time, is passionate about 3D modelling.
His love for modelling objects came from building Lego when he was younger when seeing the finished product was always gratifying. That’s what inspired him to transition to 3D virtual objects.
Constantin started modeling two years ago and for him, it’s been one of the most relaxing hobbies that he’s ever had. His ambition to create and his imagination combine to devise projects, all starting with the donut and building up from there to more complex and intricate objects. The only limit is the sky. There are lots of courses online that have helped him to learn about the three main axes, animation, modeling and shading and others that helped him to work in Blender.
He used his skills when he participated in a contest organized by the National Bank of Moldova to create the Doctor’s Coin (Moneda Medicilor) to show appreciation for their efforts during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Constantin continues to embark on freelance projects where he models and animates products to better visualize these for the customer.
